So Shia got his hand smashed and they decided to write that into the script so the production is moving along and Transformers Live Action Movie Blog has been keeping track of everything. This week, the production has been filming some scenes in downtown Long Beach including the awesome action scene you can check out in the video embedded up there. Pretty cool, huh? It's always cool to see shit blowing up. And although I couldn't find embeddable video to post, you can click here to check out some more footage of the cars driving down the street in the LBC, including a surprise: it seems Chevy has let Mr. Bay use the upcoming, top secret, game changing Volt in the feature. The final production car is supposed to be revealed in November at the LA Auto Show but it's shown up on the internets a couple of months early. If Chevy can live up to the projects lofty promises, I think I'm looking at my next car. Sure, it's super good for the environment, gets 40 miles on a single charge, hardly uses any gas. But the coolest part? It was in Transformers 2! Be sure to hit up TFLAMB for a crapload more pics and info on the film!

Earth vs. Asteroid: Armageddon got it wrong
So back in 1998 when the Michael Bay classic Armageddon was released, I wonder if Australian Mary D’Souza was watching the film thinking "I will prove this movie wrong." You see, Mary isn't just a normal human being. Nope she's a PhD student with the University of Queensland's School of Engineering and she apparently knows her astro physics since she recently won an international contest for solutions to avoid a giant asteroid to impact our giant rock we call home. And what was the technique she came up with? The very one deemed stupid in the film by grand master Billy Bob: using solar sails to disrupt the path of the evil asteroid. In yer face, Slingblade! Swear if the earth is saved by going against something a Bay film has taught us to be stoopid, I sense no better poetic justice. A special shout out to Mary for saving (potentially) our home planet and our blog! Check out the full story over here at Slash Film.

Comic Con '08: Friday The 13th remake trailer leaked
As technology grows ever so much, we're gonna be getting more and more of these. The footage is blurry cam but you can get the gist of it. The one shot of Jason running as he's getting ready to swing for the fences....yeah, to quote Mr. Harley: I like that shit! Check it out here at Atomic Popcorn (or on the picture above) before it, too, disappears!

Transformers sequel gets official title, dedicated blog
I know we were all waiting for Michael Bay to jump back into his director's chair and start fucking around with our childhood once more and this past week, he did just that. Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen began filming in Pennsylvania and this blog has been doing a good job of documenting the production (that layout looks familiar), including that awesome picture of Jetfire up there as well as breaking some news about which vehicles will be in the film and which characters will return and new ones that appear in the franchise. Now all we have to do is sit back and wait for Bay to work his magic.

IT'S ON!!! BOLL VS. BAY!
Or...maybe not. The moderator over at Bay's official site writes:
Just spoke to Mike, and it's false. This guy is really creepy, he's creeping me out.
BTW, Michael has never spoken to him and won't speak to him. Mike has a movie to deliver for June 2009, unlike this idiot.
Boll doesn't deserve press for his lame movie, so this is the last we talk about him in these forums. This press stunt will tank.
Boll is just digging himself deeper and deeper. What a tool. Check out the complete story here.

Boll against Bay.
So Roque is like "hey Robert, check out this Uwe Boll thing about him and Michael Bay" So I went. It's golden. From the second line I'm just dying. "You see my outfit, so...you know what's coming up now basically. Tscheyah." Oh man. I can't even do it justice, just watch. Uwe explains it all way better than I could ever do.

Mmmm....genius. Awesome commercial is awesome!
Finally! Something to humanize this guy since the internets has decided to paint this dude as a hack. Honestly, his brute force action scene's are balls out the best in Hollywood right now. Yeah, he lacks the finesse of others but he's consistently pulls off some great action stuff that always peaks my interest no matter what the subject matter. And this commercial......fucken AWESOME! This should of run during the Super Bowl, if you ask me. It's that awesome!
