The Dumb Are Mostly Intrigued By The Drum

That headline is a stretch but hey, I worked hard on it okay. ANYways....the film from director Fernando Meirelles (The Constant Gardener) opens up today and if your on the fence about dropping your hard earned rubbles to go check it out, Yahoo! has posted the first 5 minutes of the film for your enjoyment. Check it out and maybe I'll see you at the theater this weekend when I go see Religulous!

Damn, that was a pretty bad ass trailer. The music, the cuts...yeah, cool as hell. Through all the trouble this production has been through, it's cool to finally see something that really gets me hyped up on the film. I've never been a huge musical fan but I'm anxiously waiting for something to change my mind (I have an idea for one but not exactly sure how to tackle one) and blast my brain outta my head. Repo! The Genetic Opera looks cool but I'm not totally sold on it. It's cool to see SpyKid Alexa Vega getting work as well as Sarah Brightman but Paris Hilton very presence in the film is scary (yeah, that's her up there). Yup, new trailer and it's got some pretty dope shots in it. Since the other big November release has been pushed back, it will be the month of Bond if this trailer is any indication. I loved Casino Royale and this just looks dope. Hopefully I won't be disappointed. Yahoo! has posted a pretty sweet 4 min. long clip from the upcoming animated film. Definitely worth your time. Now I know that the hype for this isn't all that but I think this may come through and really surprise. Keeping the sabers crossed (yup, I said it) that it's at least on par with the animated series. Oh, Paul W.S. Anderson (please don't confuse this hack with P.T. Anderson) how have you destroyed franchises via your awesome films: Resident Evil=shit. Mortal Kombat=shit. At least Michael Bay can blow shit up real good. Well, now we have Death Race, a remake of the cult classic. Ugh. I like cars though! And cars with giant mini guns mounted on them....a little bit of Twisted Metal....aight, maybe. Check out the trailer here at Yahoo! and see for yourself.

Wow, this one looks vastly different than the teaser we got a while back. The backgrounds, the ambient environments....everything looks a bit more finished and lush. And who can say no to some dual lightsaber action, right? Love that shit....Hmmm, will this be the surprise hit it's ramping up to be? Perhaps. Check out the trailer over here at Yahoo!

More overkill, but yeah, we're gonna continue with the hype on this film. Have I seen it? Nope, so it might be the shittiest film of the year for all I know. By I have high hopes and everything points to it being a good one (hey, The Fall came through for me last time). Check out the trailer here over at Yahoo!
