(click Michelle's teeth for the Quicktime trailer)
Fast & Furious
UPDATE: If you can't wait for the Quicktime, here it is for you streaming!
Here it is. The trailer I've been waiting for all my life. Well, at least since the original TFATF in 2001. A continuation of those characters' story. Will it suck? Probably. Will I enjoy watching it? Yup, pretty much going to love it. The stunts look pretty cool, actually. Overall a dope trailer. Hopefully the craptacular dialogue and acting will be held over enough to give us all a reason to go check this out when it drops next year. If only I could watch this at the drive-in like the last one. Check out the trailer here and more some exclusive pics here at IGN.

NOOOoo! TFATF is now just FAF; next The Fast And The Furious film gets new title
Here at Dumb Drum, we love all things TFATF. And we love acronyms with a bunch of letters that spell nothing. So it pains me to report that the peeps over at IGN.com have revealed that the next installment in the awesome franchise will be titled simply Fast And Furious. Well, I guess is saves me some typing time..... As we mentioned before, Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez return to reprise their roles (if your interested in plot spoilers, check this post for some sad news for Letty fans) and seeks to close finish up the series. Well, Justin Lin is directing and he's been quoted as saying he has one more FAF film in him after this but lets wait and see what happens, okay? Look out for it and dumb ass kids burning out in their parents minivan in theater parking lots Summer of 2009.

Someone went back for Letty; another TFATF alumni returns

Oh, Michelle Rodriguez....how you let me down. After seeing "Girlfight" I became a huge fan of the girl, actively waiting to see what she was going to do next, hoping she'd be able to spread her wings and become the dope-ass actress that she showcased in the film. Her next film was a small film called The Fast And The Furious. Oh yes, I can't wait to see it. I saw it. And she turns out she plays the same character in every movie, only this time her name was Letty instead of Diana. And she's been doing it ever since. Meh. Well, at least they're bring her back for one more round as Letty. According to her web site, she's recently signed on to revise her role in the fourth installment of TFATF, rejoining her co-stars Vin Diesel & Paul Walker. A reunion? Hopefully they'll get everyone back, even Jesse will be resurrected. And we can NOT have Coyotes R' Us Vincent return, in all his robotic movement-glory. Fuck it....BRING EVERYONE BACK! It'll be good to reunite with old friends....and make fun of them, cause they ain't gonna be doing shit after this one! And to Michelle: Please try your best to prove me wrong.

Jumping back on the stencil train

A long time ago, a couple of friends and I decided to make stencils to paster our images around town, a sort of competition to see who could get there art around the city without getting caught (I guess that's every graf artists M.O. but I'm far from one). Well, at that time, I was very much enamored of a certain Michelle Rodriguez (laugh all you want but back then, she was an up and comer with potential and I was rooting for her). Hence, the stencil I created as you can see above. Well, as far as our friendly competition, it never happened. The only thing I ever used the stencil was on a white box I bought at the Uhaul store when I moved from my old apartment and that box has been chilling next to my desk at home. Recently, I've been wanting to get into my roots but I wasn't very sure about how. Should I bone up my drawing skills? Naw, I suck. How about painting? I mean, Bob Ross could do it, why not me? And then one night I was looking for something around my pile of shit and there was Michelle staring right back at me. She's fallen off my radar these days but I remember making that stencil and the fun I had doing it. And so that image up there was born: a 14x18 canvas board with a little accent added, just to test. Easy and fun! Here are some sites if your interested and this art form and be scared to try it yourself....just remember that tagging stuff that isn't yours is illegal and shouldn't be done....EVER! Now that that's out of the way....anyone up for a friendly competition?
