The comedies are coming, THE COMEDIES ARE COMING! With Step Brothers this weekend, the end of summer funny films are hitting the theater. And of course, that means clips galore. Head on over to Collider here to check out six clips from Pineapple Express, the upcoming film starring Seth Rogen and James Franco. So you guys think this is gonna be this years Superbad? Who knows but foot in the windshield is always funny.... Between this and Tropic Thunder, I'm not sure which one I'm looking more forward to watching. Thanks to Jay for the link!

Das ÜberPost-Lazy Weekend Edition
So the past weekend was a three-day one. What did I do during those free days? Mostly sleep (a bloggers life is one of constant inaction don't you know?) but I did watch movies and the whatnot so rather than do individual posts of all the stuff that went down, I've created this: the UberPost! A recap of all the cool stuff that went down these last couple of days so sit back and enjoy the info overload:
• Trailer Addict has released The Dark Knight trailer that was first previewed about a year ago at Wizard World. A lot of footage in this one so if you want to avoid seeing half the film before the release, steer clear.
• Wu-Tang Clan's abbot The RZA is finally moving ahead with very first film titled The Man With The Iron Fist, which will be directed by the man himself & produced by Eli Roth (director of Hostel) reports Aintitcoolnews. Huge fan of RZA, but lately his music been off point. Maybe he's been focusing on writing the script which Roth describes as "amazing". Fingers crossed Bobby Digital comes through ont his one!
• The Wackness was released this weekend in limited release and the numbers are good! What does that mean? Well, it's going to expand to more theaters pretty soon and you know what that means: Fresno. And it's happened! Slash Film (via FirstShowing) has the list of the cities in which the film will open up this month and we're on the list! The film will tentatively open here in town on July 25th! No word on which theaters will carry it but as soon as I find out, I will post it here!
• Were you hoping for a Superbad sequel? Well keep dreaming as Seth Rogen has recently shot down any hope of that ever happening, reports Slash Film. But Rogen does say that a Pineapple Express sequel is possible. Crazy Hollywood....

Dem Trailers: Can't We All Just Get Along? Edition
Pineapple Express
Last summer, the Apatow fan base was split: Which film was better? Superbad or Knocked Up? It seems like overwhelmingly, the former wins that argument (I'm a fan of the latter myself). Now this year, they bring us this little gem. I mean, watch the trailer. I laugh every time is see Franco try to kick out the windshield and get his foot stuck. Yeah, can't wait for this one. Check out the trailer here and tell us what you think: Superbad or Knocked Up? Vote in our newest poll over there to the right!
Mongol
Doesn't that shot just reek of Kurosawa, RAN-style? Nice. Every year we're hit over the head with 10 different movie epics and usually, none of then get much attention from me. Seeing millions of people do battle using medieval weapons has left me desensitized mainly because I think you could mix and match action scenes from all of these films and no one would be none the wiser. But Genghis Khan has always held a special place in my heart and I'm actually looking forward to this one. And hopefully it'll buck the trend of these types of films boring me to the point of eating my own eyeballs (replacements are getting expensive!). Check out the trailer here.
